According to the official schedule, PM Modi will reach Babatpur Airport at around 1:30 PM on April 28. From there, arrangements have been made for both road and helicopter travel to reach Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW/Bareka), where a major women’s conference will be held. He is expected to address the women’s gathering at around 5 PM. ()
One of the most talked-about details of this event is that only five chairs will be placed on the main stage. Along with PM Modi, the stage will include Anandiben Patel, Yogi Adityanath, BJP national leadership representatives, and state party leadership. Around 40,000 women from all eight assembly areas of Varanasi are expected to attend the conference, including Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, ANMs, sanitation workers, and women representatives from various wards. The development package includes 113 foundation stone projects worth ₹5,277 crore and inauguration of 50 completed projects worth ₹1,055 crore. Major projects include the Ganga rail-road bridge, sewer and water supply systems, expansion of Kabirchaura Hospital, an integrated commissioner complex, Bhagwanpur STP, roads, bridge corporation works, and healthcare infrastructure projects. After the public program and meetings with intellectuals and women in the evening, PM Modi will stay overnight in Varanasi. On April 29 morning, he will visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple for दर्शन and पूजा before leaving for Hardoi to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway project. ()
This visit is being seen as both a major development push and a politically significant moment for Varanasi, as the city prepares for another high-profile appearance by its Member of Parliament and Prime Minister.
