The investigation into the death of former model and actor Twisha Sharma has intensified after Bhopal Police secured a seven-day remand of her husband, advocate Samarth Singh, who is the prime accused in the case.

Samarth Singh was produced before a Bhopal court after being arrested from the Jabalpur court premises. Police officials told the court that the accused was not cooperating with the investigation and further custodial interrogation was necessary.

Twisha Sharma, originally from Noida, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her matrimonial home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area earlier this month. Her family has alleged dowry harassment, mental torture, and possible foul play behind her death.

The case has attracted nationwide attention after several developments emerged over the past few days. The Madhya Pradesh High Court recently allowed a second post-mortem examination, while the state government also recommended a CBI investigation into the matter.

According to police officials, Samarth Singh had remained untraceable for several days after the case was registered against him. Authorities had even announced a reward for information leading to his arrest before he was eventually detained in Jabalpur.

Investigators are also examining CCTV footage, WhatsApp chats, and statements from Twisha Sharma’s family and close friends. Reports suggest that Twisha had expressed emotional distress in messages sent before her death, adding further seriousness to the investigation.

The FIR in the case includes allegations related to dowry harassment and cruelty. Along with Samarth Singh, his mother Giribala Singh, a retired judge, has also been named in the investigation.

Police officials stated that multiple angles are being examined, including forensic evidence, family allegations, digital records, and the sequence of events leading up to Twisha Sharma’s death.

The case continues to remain under intense public scrutiny as fresh revelations emerge during the ongoing probe.
